Adult Education Outside Greater London

Are you 19+ and looking for a job, or training to upskill?

It can be challenging to find work or move up in your current job if you feel underqualified, but there is support available.

Funded by the UK Government, Adult Education offers you the chance to boost your employability for free with English language training and other support finding a job role or upskilling to find better work, or even an apprenticeship.

The programme has a specific focus on upskilling for industries of particular importance right now, including digital and environmental.  

Free courses and support include: 

• ESOL – Entry Levels 1-3

• Digital Skills

• CV and employability training

• Workplace skills

• Vocational qualifications

Eligibility: 

• Aged 19+ 

• Seeking employment or currently 'under-employed' (zero-hour contracts, less than 15-hours work per week)

• You DO NOT live in one of these local authority areas:
  

  - Barnsley, Doncaster, Rotherham and Sheffield Combined Authority
  - Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Combined Authority
  - Greater Manchester Combined Authority
  - Liverpool City Region Combined Authority
  - Newcastle Upon Tyne, North Tyneside and Northumberland Combined Authority
  - Tees Valley Combined Authority
  - West Midlands Combined Authority
  - West of England Combined Authority
  - West Yorkshire Combined Authority
